Polisi Terapkan Restoratif Justice di Kasus Kecelakaan Maut Owner Pallubasa Serigala

Makassartoday.com, Makassar – Polrestabes Makassar memberikan keterangan resmi terkait perkembangan penanganan kasus kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi di Tol Reformasi Makassar pada 25 September 2024, yang mengakibatkan dua korban meninggal dunia.

Kapolrestabes Makassar, Kombes Pol Dr. Mokhamad Ngajib, SIK, MH, didampingi oleh Dir Lantas Polda Sulsel Kombes Pol Karsiman, S.I.K., M.M., Kabag Ops AKBP Darminto, Kasat Lantas Polrestabes Makassar Kompol Mamat Rahmat memberikan penjelasan tentang proses penyelesaian kasus tersebut, Senin (14/10/2024) di Aula Mappaoddang Polrestabes Makassar.

Kapolrestabes menjelaskan bahwa inisial HAR (31), owner rumah makan Pallubasa Serigala, sebelumnya telah ditetapkan tersangka. Berdasarkan perkembangan penanganan, kasus ini diselesaikan melalui mekanisme keadilan restoratif (restoratif justice) sesuai dengan Perpol Nomor 8 Tahun 2001 tentang penanganan tindak pidana berdasarkan keadilan restoratif.

“Setelah memenuhi persyaratan baik secara materiil maupun formil, serta adanya kesepakatan damai antara pelaku dan keluarga korban, kasus ini dapat diselesaikan melalui pendekatan kekeluargaan,” jelas Kombes Pol Mokhamad Ngajib.

Korban dari kecelakaan tersebut diketahui merupakan istri dan anak dari tersangka sendiri, yang memperkuat dasar penggunaan keadilan restoratif.

Kapolrestabes juga menambahkan bahwa persyaratan khusus dalam pasal 10, yang mengatur kecelakaan akibat kelalaian yang menyebabkan korban meninggal dunia, telah dipenuhi. Karena itu, penyelesaian secara kekeluargaan dinilai sebagai solusi yang tepat dalam kasus ini.

“Dengan pendekatan keadilan restoratif, kita mengutamakan sisi pemanfaatan, keadilan bagi masyarakat. Setelah semua ini, kami akan melakukan penghentian penyidikan terhadap kasus ini,” ungkapnya.
