Dispora Kaltim Fokus Pembinaan Atlet untuk Dongkrak Prestasi Nasional dan Internasional

Makassartoday.com, Samarinda – Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) Kalimantan Timur (Kaltim) menargetkan peningkatan prestasi olahraga daerah dengan memprioritaskan pembinaan pada cabang-cabang olahraga unggulan yang berpotensi besar mendulang medali di tingkat nasional maupun internasional.

Rasman Rading, Kepala Bidang Peningkatan Prestasi Olahraga Dispora Kaltim, menyatakan bahwa langkah ini sejalan dengan visi pemerintah daerah untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas perolehan medali oleh kontingen Kalimantan Timur di berbagai kompetisi.

“Kita harus fokus pada pembinaan perorangan, permainan, terukur, kemudian cabang olahraga yang memiliki nomor tanding lebih banyak,” ungkapnya.

Strategi pembinaan ini tidak hanya berfokus pada cabang olahraga individu, tetapi juga mencakup cabang olahraga beregu yang selama ini konsisten menyumbang medali dalam setiap ajang. Pendekatan tersebut diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif pada perolehan medali, baik di single event maupun multi event.

“Kita fokus di situ saja, di samping cabang olahraga yang meskipun beregu, konsisten memberikan medali pada setiap event,” tambahnya.

Dengan strategi ini, Dispora Kaltim optimistis mampu meningkatkan performa atlet di tingkat nasional dan internasional. Selain itu, langkah ini juga bertujuan menjaga posisi Kalimantan Timur sebagai salah satu provinsi yang diperhitungkan dalam peta olahraga Indonesia.
